Mike Daisey Returns to DC to Support Tiny Mammoths:

While the hullaballoo surrounding The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs and the fallout with Ira "Sleepytime Voice" Glass has waned, Daisey's passion for storytelling has only gotten more profound. American Utopias investigates how we work, as a society, to create civic spaces in which we can dream of better worlds. In his patented one-man style, Daisey will tell the story by touching on everything from Disney World to Burning Man to Zuccotti Park in New York, where the Occupy movement was born. In the words of the description provided by Woolly Mammoth, "Gunplay, giant glittery dildos, raving animatronic presidents and brutal police actions come together to paint the landscape of our American dream." Um... OK?

But for real, if there's anyone who can connect those topics in a must-see format, it's Daisey, and what better excuse to go see it early (he will return next March for the show's regular run) than by knowing the $25 you spend on a ticket will help feed an intern.
